Former NAC Chairman Chaturvedi found dead

Kathmandu: In an apparent suicide, former Chairman of the Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) Ramagya Prasad Chaturvedi has been found dead.

His dead body was found in front of an under-construction house at Kathmandu Metropolitan City-7 on Wednesday morning, said SSP Ashok Singh at Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu.

Chaturvedi was suffering from mental illness, police said, adding that he may have committed suicide.

According to CCTV footage, he was seen jumping from the fourth floor of the house. Police said they can confirm if Chaturvedi committed suicide only after carrying out further investigation and post-mortem report.
