Kathmandu: The weather has improved throughout the country with the withdrawal of westerly winds from the eastern part. Most of the areas across the country including Kathmandu Valley have witnessed sunny weather since the morning today.

Senior meteorologist Barun Poudel said another weather system will not likely develop in four or five days from now. The combined influence of the low-pressure system over Bihar of India and the westerly system had caused heavy rainfall from October 17 to 20.

Although this rain-causing system has existed at present, its general influence is witnessed in Nepal. “Such system leaves behind water vapor and moisture. That’s why clouds are seen in some places and fog in some places. There are also chances of intermittent rain at some places,” he said, adding that this will however not make big impact.
