Covid-19: 666 new cases and 11 fatalities recorded in the last 24 hours

Kathmandu: A total of 666 new cases of Covid-19 were recorded in the last 24 hours in the country. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the new cases were identified from 9,771 RT-PCR and 2,249 antigen tests.

With the new cases, the Covid-19 tally has reached 810,298 (in PCR tests) and 94,215 (in antigen tests) in the country as of Tuesday. The positivity rate stood at 5.54 percent.

Similarly, the Ministry confirmed that 622 patients have recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours. With this, the total number of recovered patients has reached 788,630 so far. The recovery rate stands at 97.3 percent.

According to the Ministry, a total of 11 Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours across the country. The Ministry stated that the total number of deaths from coronavirus infection has reached 11,372.

The Ministry has further shared that there are 10,296 active cases of coronavirus across the country.
