Covid 19: Positivity rate at 5.6 percent; 549 new cases and six deaths recorded

Kathmandu: A total of 549 new cases of Covid-19 were recorded in the last 24 hours in the country. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the new cases were identified from 9,746 RT-PCR and 2,601 antigen tests.

With the new cases, the Covid-19 tally has reached 811,897 (in PCR tests) and 93,980 (in antigen tests) in the country as of Friday. The positivity rate stood at 5.6 percent.

Similarly, the Ministry confirmed that 569 patients have recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours. With this, the total number of recovered patients has reached 790,358 so far. The recovery rate stands at 97.3 percent.

According to the Ministry, a total of six Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours across the country. The Ministry stated that the total number of deaths from coronavirus infection has reached 11,388.

The Ministry has further shared that there are 10,151 active cases of coronavirus across the country.
