Kathmandu: Different parts of the country including Kathmandu Valley have witnessed chilly days as the winter sets in. The minimum temperature of the Kathmandu Valley has dipped to 10.6 degree Celsius today which was 12.1 on Friday.

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the temperature of the country including Kathmandu Valley has started declining up to 1-2 degree Celsius every day on average.

Meteorologist Shanti Kandel shared cold will continue to rise. Winter begins with the influence of westerly wind in the Nepali atmosphere.

Similarly, the temperature in the afternoon has also started dropping by two or three degree Celsius for the fast few days, the Department further shared.

Now, the weather of hilly and mountainous regions is partly cloudy while the rest of the country is generally clear.
According to the Department of Meteorological Forecasting Division, there is a possibility of light snowfall at one or two places of high-hilly and mountainous areas.

As per the latest details of the Division, today’s minimum temperature of Kathmandu Valley is recorded at 10.6 degree Celsius and maximum temperature at 25.5 degree Celsius.

Similarly, today Jumla has the lowest temperature measuring 2.0 degree Celsius while Janakpur has the highest temperature of 31 degree. RSS
