Covid-19: Nepal witnesses 397 fresh cases and three deaths

Kathmandu: The country has witnessed a total of 397 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Population stated on Friday.

A total of 355 were diagnosed with the virus in PCR tests while 47 were confirmed positive in tests undertaken through the antigen method. Samples of 9,134 people were tested through the PCR method while 1,932 samples were tested adopting the antigen method.

Likewise, altogether 389 Covid-19 patients got full recovery during the period. The Ministry said that the recovery rate in Nepal is 97.7 percent.

According to the Ministry of Health, three people succumbed to the pandemic in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 11,469.

Nepal currently has 7,498 active cases.
