Kathmandu: Bookaholics, a platform that brings together authors and literature enthusiasts, hosted its monthly series ‘Chakati Bahas’ at the Reader’s Hub in Kaushaltar, Bhaktapur, on Saturday. The event was the 72nd episode of ‘Chakati Bahas’.

The subject for Saturday’s discussion was the novel “Mokshabhumi”, written by Keshav Dahal. The discussion series returned back to action after a Covid-imposed hiatus of two years.

“Mokshabhumi”, which tells the story of slaves, their sufferings, and liberation set in 1280 BS, was awarded the Padma Shree honor this year. The speaker for the session, presided by author Dahal himself, was Nabin Jung KC.

“I wrote Mokshabhumi in the course of finding my existence and of the entire human civilization,” said author Dahal. “The book depicts the struggle of the people for their existence.”
