Kathmandu: With an aim to bring into global education practices with the touch of local realities in Nepal King’s College has joined hands with Kajaani University of Applied Sciences of Finland.
King’s College, in a press statement, expressed hope that this collaboration will help it to introduce Finnish academic excellence, innovative practices, pedagogical innovations and technological advancement to the students at home.
President of King’s College, Narottam Aryal and Matti Saren, President of Kajaani University signed the agreement in Kathmandu this week committing to work together persistently to contribute to the higher education space of both the countries.
In its press release, King’s College says that Kajaani University is a vibrant international learning and development community that consists as many as 3,200 students and more than 250 experts. According to funding indicators for the year 2018, the University was one of the most successful universities for applied sciences in Finland.
“The joint strength brought about by this collaboration will help us build the best academic family to learn and to grow to become expert, utilize latest ideas and technology and build future of students,’ Kajaani University President, Mattie Saren stated during the agreement ceremony.
During the ceremony, President of King’s College remarked that his institute envisions transforming society by promoting entrepreneurial spirit through progressive education while Kajaani University caters to a vibrant international learning and development community and has been a firm believer of internationalization as a crucial tool for regional development.
