The national competition will be held for four days from 23 to the 26th of February 2022 at Kathmandu College of Management, Lalitpur. Altogether 75 students selected from the regional competition will participate in the national competition.

Five top contestants will go on to participate in an international competition slated for July 2022 in Shanghai, China. Similarly, six students will get the opportunity to participate in World Economics Cup 2022.

“Our mission is to find and inspire young talents from Nepal who aspire to be leaders of tomorrow in economics, finance, and business,” said Arjun Sapkota, president at NEO. “We are also conducting the programs with the aim of enhancing the critical and logical ability of young students to create problem-solving aptitude.”

Nepal bagged two bronze medals in 2020 and 2021 while the country walked away with bronze medals in the 2020 World Economics Cup, including the first position in fundamentals of economics and three silver medals and two bronze medals in the 2021 competition.
