Top leaders of ruling parties hold meeting at Baluwatar

Kathmandu: A meeting of the top leaders of the ruling alliance is taking place in the Prime Minister’s official residence at the coordination of Prime Minister and Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba.

The meeting started at 9:15 this morning is holding discussions on election to the National Assembly Members and other issues, PM Deuba’s legal expert Keshav Raj Joshi said.

Top leaders of the Nepali Congress, CPN (Maoist Center), CPN (Unified Socialist), Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal and Rastriya Janamorcha are attending the meeting.

The ruling parties have already forged a consensus to make an alliance in the National Assembly election. Election to 19 vacant posts of the National Assembly members is taking place on January 26.

The Election Commission of Nepal has announced the date of the candidate’s nomination filing for December 4.
