Kapilvastu: Two persons died on the spot in a tractor accident in Kapilvastu on Tuesday morning.
The deceased have been identified as Shiva Kumari Tharu, 48, and Phool Kumari Tharu, 16, of Buddhabhumi municipality-3, according to the Area Police Office, Gorusinge.
The accident took place when the tractor, Lu 4 Ta 2402, heading to load sand and carrying laborers fell around 20 meters off the road.
Similarly, Balram Sunar, Krishna BK, Sarita Tharu and Seema Tharu were injured in the incident and they are receiving treatment at different hospitals.
Police Inspector at the Area Police Office, Gorusinge, Leelaram Acharya, said that the tractor might have met with an accident due to over-speed. Further investigation into the incident is underway, added police.
