Kathmandu District Administration Office issues 18-point directive for Covid-19 control

Kathmandu: The District Administration Office, Kathmandu has issued an 18-point directive aimed at controlling a recent surge in coronavirus cases.

The office said that the order was issued with effect from today’s midnight as per the recommendation of the Covid-19 Crisis Management Center (CCMC) and the decision of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

According to the directive, public vehicles operating in Kathmandu will not be allowed to carry passengers more than seats and passengers not wearing masks will not be allowed to travel. Likewise, drivers and co-drivers of public vehicles should wear masks, visors and gloves and sanitize their vehicles daily.

Similarly, gatherings of more than 25 people is prohibited as per the order among others.
