Kathmandu: The country recorded 10,254 Covid-19 cases and 16 infection-related deaths in the last 24 hours. The new cases were detected from 20,187 tests, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.
The number of active cases has hit 72,862 in the country. The recovered cases have reached 820,283 with 708 recoveries in the past 24 hours. The recovery rate is 90.7 percent and the positivity rate at 50.79 percent. So far, the death toll from the virus has reached 11,651.
At present, 71,261 infected people have been in home isolation, and 1,601 in institution isolation. Similarly, 210 have been admitted to intensive care units and 37 on ventilator support.
