Rukum (East): A total of 1,400 people received booster dose in Rukum (East). A campaign was launched to administer booster jab in the district from January 24.
Covid-19 Disease Control Focal Person of Rukum (East), Nim Prasad Giri said that booster dose was administered to 1,024 people of Sisne Rural Municipality.
Similarly, 208 people of Bhume Rural Municipality and 164 of Puthauttarganga Rural Municipality received the dose.
Puthauttarganga Rural Municipality received less number of people receiving booster dose.
Giri said the vaccination campaign has been affected due to lack of people’s interest on inoculation.
However, it is being effectively run at Bhume and Sisne Rural Municipalities.
The Health Office has urged those missing vaccination to get inoculated to get protected from the virus.
