Kathmandu: The Ministry of Health and Population on Friday said it recorded 275 fresh coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours.
A total of one death was registered during the period. Nepal’s Covid-19 death toll stands at 11,932 with the case fatality rate at 1.2 percent.
The country performed 8,628 tests including 5,452 RT-PCR and 3,176 antigen tests.
A total of 555 people recovered from the pandemic, taking total recovered cases to 955,458. Nepal’s Covid-19 recovery rate has now improved to 97.8 percent.
Nepal currently has 9,280 active cases. Among them, 9.026 are in home isolation and 254 in institutional isolation. The Health Ministry said 92 people are in ICU and 15 in ventilator support.
