Kathmandu: A meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) is taking place at the Federal Parliament Building, New Baneshwor at 1 pm today.
MCC compact—tabled in the parliament on February 20—will be discussed in today’s meeting.
The HoR meeting on Friday got postponed abruptly. Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota postponed the meeting at the request of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.
According to media reports, ruling parties are set to ratify the compact in consensus.
The main opposition CPN-UML has been continuously obstructing the HoR meetings, alleging the Speaker for not taking action against 14 Unified Socialist lawmakers.
