Rastriya Janamorcha leaves ruling alliance

Kathmandu: Rastriya Janamorcha has announced leaving the ruling alliance expressing disagreement over the parliamentary ratification of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).

A Secretariat meeting of the party held on Monday decided to desert the five-party alliance stating that the government tricked the people by ratifying the Compact that will have long-term and serious damage to the country.

As the alliance has caused serious damage to the sovereignty and integrity of the country, the party decides to leave the alliance, reads the statement issued by the party’s Chairman Chitra Bahadur KC.
