Paul Shah taken to Gaindakot for recording statement

Kathmandu: Actor Paul Shah, currently in police custody for an investigation into a rape case, has been taken to Nawalparasi East for recording a statement.

Shah was taken to Area Police Office, Gaindakot two weeks later a famed singer filed a rape case against the actor. Shah is currently under custody at District Police Office, Tanahun.

Police will present Shah before the court on Wednesday and start an investigation into the case.

The Tanahun District Court on Sunday remanded Shah in custody for 12 days to further investigate the rape charges against him.

Shah, who has been accused of raping a minor, surrendered to police last week after a 17-year-old singer filed a case against him.

The teenage singer had filed a rape case against Shah at the District Police Office, Tanahun. The singer, in her complaint, has said that 32-year-old Shah had raped her with a false promise of marriage.
