Covid-19 cases decline, eight cases in 24 hours

Kathmandu: The Ministry of Health and Population has recorded a decline in coronavirus infection. Only eight cases were recorded in the last 24 hours.

A total of 2,655 persons had undergone test in the same period.

Currently, the number of infected ones stands at 1,758. Similarly, 210 infected persons got rid of virus in the latest update. The recovery rate is 98.6 percent.

No fatality was recorded in the past 24 hours. Only Kathmandu district has more than 200 infected persons at present. There are nine districts having no infection. They are Dhankuta, Sankhuwasabha, Ramechhap, Manang, Mustang, Purba Rukum, Bajura, Kanchanpur, Dolpa, Humla and Jumla. The infection rate is 17.7 percent.

Currently, 1,717 infected ones are getting recovery in home isolation, 41 in institutional isolation, 19 in ICU, and two on ventilator support. In the last 24 hours, 47,701 persons were vaccinated against coronavirus.
