Kathmandu: Preparations have been completed for the 15th edition of the Durbar Marg Street Festival to be held at Durbar Marg from Saturday on the occasion of the Nepali New Year 2079 BS.
The festival is being organized under the slogan ‘Cooperation: Promotion of Local Products and Domestic Tourism’ for the revival of small, home-based and medium enterprises and the tourism industry.
The festival is being organized by the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Restaurant and Bar Association Nepal (REBAN) and Durbar Marg Development Board in collaboration with Ncell.
The main objective of the festival is to support the tourism development of the country by promoting domestic tourism and to promote Nepali products, Nepali dishes and Nepali culture, organizers said.
The festival will be formally inaugurated on Saturday at 11:45 am with the presentation of art and culture. The festival will be held till 8:15 pm with songs, music as well as various entertaining performances and various fun activities in the area where the festival will be held.
