CPN (Unified Socialist) finalizes candidates for metropolises, sub-metropolises

Kathmandu: The CPN (Unified Socialist) has finalized its candidates for metropolises and sub-metropolises in the local-level elections slated for May 13.

As per the seat-sharing agreement reached in the ruling coalition, the party will compete for the Mayor in Pokhara Metropolitan City and for the post of Deputy Mayor in Kathmandu Metropolitan City.

Likewise, it will field a candidate for the Mayoral post in Hetauda and compete for Deputy Mayors in Itahari, Butwal and Tulsipur.

Metropolises:

Pokhara (Mayor): Dhanraj Acharya

Kathmandu (Deputy Mayor): Rameshwar Shrestha

Sub-metropolises:

Hetauda (Mayor): Mina Lama

Itahari (Deputy Mayor): Keshav Bista

Butwal (Deputy Mayor): Chin Bahadur Gurung

Tulsipur (Deputy Mayor): Jog Bahadur Rana
