Kathmandu: The Election Commission (EC) has sought clarification from Keshav Sthapit, a Mayoral candidate for Kathmandu Metropolis from CPN-UML.
The commission asked him to furnish clarification for his remarks that were against the election code of conduct. He has been accused of making indecent comments against women.
During a program organized in Kathmandu on Thursday, Sthapit had made indecent comments when asked about sexual violence accusations against him.
The commission asked Sthapit to furnish reasons why he made such a comment and why shouldn’t the commission take action against him.
