Muslim Commission Chairman Ansari accused of distributing money to influence voters

Kathmandu: Chairman of Muslim Commission Samim Miya Ansari has been accused of distributing money to influence voters.

CPN-UML cadres chanted slogans at the Janakpur-based Hotel Sita Sharan accusing him of distributing money to some Muslim leaders to influence voters.

According to police, while Ansari was meeting with Muslim leaders in room 305 of the hotel, UML supporters shouted and chanted slogans saying that he had distributed money.

According to the District Police Office, Dhanusha, Ansari was escorted to the airport after the dispute escalated.
