Vote counting of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, independent candidate Balen Shah leads with 130 votes

Kathmandu: Independent candidate Balen Shah has taken an initial lead in vote counting for Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City.

As per the latest update, Shah has received 130 votes. Keshav Sthapit of CPN-UML has got 103 votes and Sirjana Singh of Nepali Congress has received 95 votes.

The counting of votes of Kathmandu Metropolitan City started on Saturday morning. Although, an all-party meeting held on Friday night had decided to count the votes from 8 am today, the counting started after a delay of around two hours.
