Kathmandu: The counting of votes in the local-level elections held on Friday is starting on Saturday. All-party meetings held in six metropolises of the country decided to begin the vote counting on Saturday morning.

An all-party meeting has decided to start counting votes in Kathmandu Metropolitan City from 8 am on Saturday.

According to Raj Kumar Khatiwada, chief election officer of the metropolis, ballot papers have been collected till midnight on Friday and the counting of votes will start on Saturday morning. The vote counting will be held at City Hall, Exhibition Road.

Likewise, the vote counting in Lalitpur Metropolis will also start at 8 am today.

The vote counting will be held in Bharatpur Metropolitan City of Chitwan from 9 am on Saturday. The vote counting couldn’t start on Friday night as no agreement was reached in an all-party meeting.

The counting of votes will be held in the Pokhara Metropolitan City of Kaski from Saturday morning. According to the Office of the Chief Election Officer, an all-party meeting will be held at 7 am today to forge an agreement on vote counting.

Similarly, the counting of votes is also kicking off on Saturday morning in Biratnagar Metropolitan City. An all-party meeting had decided to start the counting of votes on Saturday morning.

Similarly, the vote counting in Birgunj will start on Saturday morning.
