Kathmandu: Independent candidate Balen Shah has widened his lead in the race for the Mayor of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City.
As of 12:30 PM on Sunday, Balen has got 40,003 votes, while his nearest opponent Sirjana Singh, a common candidate of the ruling alliance, has garnered 22,749 votes. Likewise, CPN-UML candidate Keshav Sthapit has got 22,094 votes.
