Kathmandu: Kathmandu Mayor Balen Shah assumed his office on Monday after taking an oath of office and secrecy.
After assuming the office, Mayor Shah summoned the meeting of the municipal executive at 4 pm today and decided to telecast it live.
Responding to journalists, Mayor Shah said he will work keeping the waste management as the utmost priority.
Earlier today, the newly-elected Mayor, Deputy Mayor, and other people’s representatives of Kathmandu Metropolitan City took an oath of office and secrecy.
