Everest Bank signs agreement for QR payments in India

Kathmandu: Everest Bank Limited has signed an agreement with Gateway Payment Nepal Pvt. Ltd to enable a digital payment ecosystem.

The bank said in a statement that the agreement will enable customers to scan and initiate QR payments in India for goods and services purchased at various outlets which accepts PayTM, GooglePay, PhonePe etc. It also enables Nepali migrants residing in India to send money directly to their Everest Bank’s account. It will also enable Indian tourists traveling to Nepal to make payments at any merchant in Nepal and vice versa.

Presently the bank is rendering professionalized and efficient banking services of international standard through its wide domestic network of 116 branches, 31 Revenue Collection Counters, 150 ATMs and also through its widest global network.
