Public transport fares slashed

Kathmandu: The government has decreased the fare of public transport.

The Department of Transport Management decreased the fare for passenger vehicles by two percent after the Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) slashed the prices of petroleum products.

Likewise, the fare for freight vehicles operating on hilly roads has come down by 2.6 percent and those in Terai by 2.9 percent.

The NOC on Thursday had slashed the prices of petrol, diesel, and kerosene by Rs 10 per liter.
