Kathmandu: Nepali movie ‘Prakash’ starring Pradeep Khadka and Deeya Maskey recently released its trailer. The teaser has generated a huge interest in the movie with it garnering almost 650,000 views on YouTube.
The glimpse that was shown of the movie has led people to praise the movie, and people seem excited by the dynamic camerawork and immersive framing and atmosphere. The movie was shot in Jumla, and the tough but breathtaking landscapes are showcased masterfully from what we have seen from the teaser.
The story follows Pradeep Khadka’s character, who dreams of being a school teacher and holds a government teacher’s post to fulfill his father’s dreams, but he has to overcome the corrupt government structures.
Deeya Maskey plays the role of Khadka’s mother, whose husband was lost during the Maoist revolution. Both the actors have been praised for their brief but impressive appearance in the teaser.
The movie is directed by Dinesh Raut, who has worked on various critically acclaimed movies such as Prashad and Selfie King. The movie is set to release on August 26.
