NMB Bank plants fruit saplings on World Environment Day

Kathmandu: NMB Bank has planted a variety of fruit saplings in Shyameshwar Ganeshman Memorial Community Forest, Nagarjuna on the occasion of World Environment Day.

The bank said in a statement that 125 saplings of different species have been planted at the community forest in the name of customers maintaining a ‘green fixed deposit’ with the bank.

Chairman of Community Forest Arjun Raj Puri, Assistant Forest Officer Saraswati Aryal, employees of the bank, and other members of the public were present on the occasion.

The bank said that trees have been planted nationwide in an effort to promote environmental protection as well as maintain balance towards environmental responsibility.

The bank said in a statement that the scheme would not only provide fair returns to the customers but also provide environmental protection and economic benefits at the same time.
