Kathmandu: The first executive meeting of the Pokhara Metropolitan City has decided to shift the landfill site to Pokhara-33 and prepare the infrastructure by managing the necessary budget for it.

Chief Administrative Officer of Pokhara Metropolitan City, Balram Rijal, shared that the metropolis has decided to give priority to the landfill site, which remains a problem due to lack of proper management even after the completion of the construction work of the international airport.

The meeting has also decided to construct public toilets in different places in Pokhara within a year and thus conclude a bilateral agreement to use the toilets of banks, hotels, various associations and restaurants for the general public.

Similarly, Pokhara Metropolitan City is going to bring emergency services in operation immediately. The executive meeting has decided to fill the potholes in the road, develop the capacity of the infrastructure division by mobilizing human resources immediately in case of fire and various incidents and bring effectiveness in the service by recruiting more staff.
