Chitwan: A woman has gone missing after a tiger attacked her in a community forest near the Chitwan National Park.

According to police, 23-year-old Rekha Basnet of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-27 is missing after she was attacked by a tiger on Thursday morning.

The District Police Office Chitwan said that the tiger attacked Basnet among those who had gone to the local Radhakrishna Community Forest.

DPO Chitwan’s Information Officer Narahari Adhikari said a team comprising Nepal Police and Nepali Army has been fanned out for a search operation as soon as receiving information that the tiger had attacked Basnet and dragged her into the woods.
