Kathmandu: Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation Prem Bahadur Ale has submitted his resignation to Chairman of CPN (Unified Socialist) Madhav Kumar Nepal.

Ale has already tendered his resignation, and he will hold a press conference later in the afternoon announcing his resignation, a source confirmed Nepal Live Today.

Earlier, the party had decided to appoint Jeevan Ram Shrestha as Tourism, Culture and Civil Aviation minister, Metmani Chaudhary as Urban Development minister, Sher Bahadur Kunwar as Labour, Employment and Social Security minister. Likewise, the party had also decided to replace Health Minister Birodh Khatiwada with Bhawani Khapung.

Despite the decision of the party, Prime Minister Deuba has been refusing to reshuffle the cabinet.

Earlier on Friday, Ministers, as well as six other lawmakers of the party, submitted a memorandum to Madhav Nepal, party chairperson, demanding a meeting of the Parliamentary Party.
