Kathmandu: The sister organizations of CPN (Maoist Center)—Youth Communist League (YCL) and All Nepal National Independent Students’ Union (Revolutionary)—on Wednesday staged a protest demanding the resignation of Nepal Rastra Bank Governor Maha Prasad Adhikari.
The organizations took to the street arguing that Governor Adhikari should step down on moral grounds he is associated with a political party.
Earlier today, ANNISU (R) Chairperson Panchha Singh issued a statement demanding resignation of Governor Adhikari. The student wing has demanded the government to dismiss Adhikari after media reports revealed that he was a member of UML’s Finance and Project Department.
