Kathmandu: At least six passengers died and 16 were injured when a bus en route to Butwal from Gulmi met with an accident at Ribdikot Rural Municipality-2 in Palpa district on Sunday.
The ill-fated bus with registration number Lu 1 Kha 5952 plunged some 60 meters off the road, according to Palpa District Police Office.
The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.
According to police, at least 22 passengers were on the bus.
The injured passengers have been sent to Tansen for treatment, said police. “The details of the accident will be known after an investigation.”
