Kathmandu: Police have arrested a person from an aircraft of Nepal Airlines about to take off to Mumbai.
A police team deployed from Special Bureau, Nepal Police, arrested Santosh Lamichhane of Kailali on Wednesday, acting on a tip-off from District Police Office, Kailali. Police said Lamichhane is a gold trader.
According to a high-ranking official at TIA Security Office, the arrest was made after disembarking all passengers on board the aircraft after police were tipped-off that a person accused of criminal offense is leaving the country.
