Cabinet transfers secretaries, Finance Secretary Madhu Marasini sent to OPMCM

Kathmandu: The government has transferred different secretaries. A meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Thursday transferred Finance Secretary Madhu Marasini to the Office of Prime Minister and Council of Ministers (OPMCM). Revenue Secretary Pushpa Hari Pushkar has been assigned the role of Finance Secretary until a new appointment is made.

Marasini had taken leaves while there was a call for the finance minister Janardan Sharma’s resignation after he was accused of involving an outsider to alter tax rates in the budget speech just before it was presented before the Parliament.

Likewise, Secretary at Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies Arjun Pokharel has been also transferred to Office of Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.

Likewise, Deepak Kafle, who was promoted to Secretary on Thursday, has been posted to the Office of the Lumbini Province Governor as Secretary Dilli Sharma deployed there has been sent to the Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizen.

Hari Prasad Mainali, Secretary at the Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizen, has been transferred to the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Toya Narayan Gyawali, Secretary at the Office of President, has been transferred to the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies.
