Covid-19: 1,090 new cases and two deaths recorded in the last 24 hours

Kathmandu: The Ministry of Health and Population on Tuesday said that Nepal recorded 1,090 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours.

The new cases were confirmed from 6,300 tests including 2,958 RT-PCR tests and 3,342 antigen tests.

Likewise, 438 people recovered during the period which takes the total recovered cases to 973,405. The recovery rate stands at 98.2 percent.

Two Covid-19 patients succumbed to the pandemic in the last 24 hours. Nepal’s Covid-19 death toll stands at 11,974 as of Tuesday afternoon. The case fatality rate is 1.2 percent.

Nepal currently has 5,806 active cases.
