Eight months after national convention, Maoist Center finalizes office bearers

Kathmandu: The Maoist Center has finally appointed its office bearers eight months after it concluded its national convention. 

A meeting of the party’s standing committee on Saturday endorsed the names proposed by its Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.  

In the meeting of the party’s Standing Committee, Dahal proposed the names of 21 office-bearers–which includes one chair, one senior vice chair, one vice chair, one general secretary, seven deputy general secretaries, nine secretaries, and one treasurer.

According to the party, Dev Gurung is the new general secretary, while Naran Kaji Shrestha became the senior vice chair.  Krishna Bahadur Mahara is the vice chair. 

Likewise, the deputy general secretaries are Barsaman Pun, Janardan Sharma, Pampha Bhusal, Giriraj Mani Pokharel, Shakti Basnet, Matrika Yadav and Haribol Gajurel.

Similarly, Dinanath Sharma, Chakramani Khanal, Devendra Paudel, Lilamani Pokharel, Ganesh Shah, Hitman Shakya, Hitraj Pandey, Dilaram Acharya and Ram Karki are secretaries of the party. Sriram Dhakal is the treasurer.
