President Bhandari enquires about Congress leader Giri’s health

Kathmandu: President Bidya Devi Bhandari on Saturday reached the Nakkhu-based Mediciti Hospital to enquire about the health condition of Nepali Congress leader Pradeep Giri.

Giri, a member of the House of Representatives, returned to Nepal a few months ago after treatment for his throat cancer at various hospitals in India. He was admitted to Mediciti Hospital on July 25 after suffering from pneumonia. A team of doctors led by Dr Pankaj Barman is treating Giri.

Giri was admitted to hospital after suffering from pneumonia and cancer-related complications.

Dr Upendra Mahato, Chairperson of Mediciti Hospital, briefed President Bhandari about Giri’s health condition, according to the President’s Secretariat.
