Covid-19: 200 new cases, two deaths recorded in the last 24 hours

Kathmandu: A total of 200 new cases of Covid-19 have been reported in the country in the past 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.

The new cases were confirmed through 1,381 samples tested through PCR and 2,156 antigen tests in various labs across the country during the same period. The positivity rate is at 5.6 percent.

With two deaths reported in the last 24 hours, Nepal’s Covid-19 death tally stands at 12,007 as of Saturday afternoon.

Similarly, 339 people recovered from the infection in a day, taking the recovered cases to 983,103 to date. The recovery rate stands at 98.5 percent, informed the Ministry.

Currently, there are 2,642 active cases of Covid-19 in the country. Among them, 2,494 are being treated in home isolation, 148 in institutional isolation, 39 in ICU, and six on ventilators.
