Death toll of Kapan fire reaches three

Kathmandu: The death toll from the Kapan fire has risen to three, with authorities warning that the number could still go up.

At around 7:15 today evening, a massive fire broke out at a trekking company near Ram Temple in Kapan, Budhanilkantha Municipality. 

A team of police and fire brigades from Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur have taken the fire under control.

The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained, said police. “The bodies have been taken to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital.”
