Kathmandu: The Election Commission is going to implement the Election Code of Conduct, 2022 from Wednesday for the upcoming November 20 federal and provincial elections.
Spokesperson of the Commission Shaligram Sharma Poudel said that the EC looks forward to the cooperation of all sides to implement and adhere to the code of conduct. The EC published the code of conduct in the Nepal Gazette on August 29. The code of conduct is aimed at conducting the elections in a free, fair, fearless, and transparent atmosphere.
All the political parties, candidates, the government of Nepal, provincial and local level officials, employees, media, and various concerned agencies have expressed the determination to comply with the code.
As per the election program, the submission of the closed list for the proportional election has been completed.
