Kathmandu: Rajiv Gurung alias Deepak Manange has been elected Gandaki Province Assembly member unupposed.
Manange was elected from Manang ‘Kha’ as an independent candidate after another independent candidate Dorje Lama Gurung withdrew his candidacy on Wednesday.
No political parties had fielded their candidates in the constituency while the ruling alliance and CPN-UML had supported Manange.
Manange is Minister for Youth and Sports in the Gandaki province government.
