Kathmandu: The CPN-UML on Friday expelled Standing Committee member Prabhu Sah accusing him of being involved in anti-party activities.

A statement issued by UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel mentions that Sah, who is also Madhesh Province Joint In-charge of the party, has been relieved from all the responsibilities.

Along with Sah, Rautahat district In-charge Upendra Sah and Joint In-charge Kunda Prasad Kusawaha have been expelled from the party.

Prabhu Sah had filed independent candidature for the November 20 polls objecting to the electoral alliance with the Janata Samajwadi Party.

Uddhav Regmi has been assigned the role of UML’s Rautahat District Joint In-charge.
