Tanahu: An 11-year-old boy has been killed in an accidental encounter with a leopard at Bandipur Rural Municipality-3 in Tanahu district on Friday morning.
The victim has been identified as Bina Chepang was attacked by the leopard at 6:30 in the morning, confirmed Shiva Kumar Shrestha, spokesperson for Bandipur Rural Municipality.
Lately, incidents of leopard attacks have increased in Bandipur of Tanahu district. In June, a five-year-old boy was killed in a leopard attack in Bandipur-1, while two were injured at Bandipur-4.
In the last five years, 12 children have died in accidental encounters with leopards in Tanahu district.
