Pakistan appoints new ambassador to Nepal

Kathmandu: Pakistan has appointed a career diplomat Abrar H Hashmi as ambassador to Nepal.

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday approved his name as new envoy to Nepal upon the recommendation of Pakistani Foreign Minister Bilwal Bhutto Zardari.

The new ambassador has been appointed as the incumbent Pakistani Ambassador to Nepal Syed Haider Shah completed his full term in Nepal.

Hashmi had earlier worked as Consul General of Pakistan in Huston, Texas, United States of America. Before joining as Consul General in Houston, he had worked at the Pakistani Foreign Ministry and Pakistan’s missions abroad.
