Three die, seven injured in Kalikot jeep accident

Kathmandu: Three persons died and seven were injured when a jeep (Bhe 1 Cha 4412) en route to Surkhet from Mugu met with an accident at Lilagufa Municipality-5 in Kalikot district on Tuesday.

According to the District Administration Office, Kalikot, one passenger was killed on the spot, while two died in the course of treatment at the Karnali Academy of Health Sciences.

The deceased have been identified as Akal BK, 21, Sudarshan Seluwal, 25, and Ramesh Budha, 21, according to Saroj Adhikari, chief district officer of Kalikot.

According to police, all the injured are receiving treatment at Karnali Academy of Health Sciences.

The injured are Keshari Shahi, 22, and Ujjwal Singh, 24, of Humla district, Dhiraj Budha, 17, Gopi Chandra Budha, 16, Santosh Shahi, 31, jeep driver Prem Singh Baduwal, 31, of Mugu district. The identity of one passenger is yet to be ascertained.
