Kathmandu: Thakur Gaire, a candidate of CPN-UML, has been elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Palpa-2.
Gaire defeated Som Prasad Pandey, a candidate of CPN (Unified Socialist), by a margin of 3,966 votes.
Gaire received 27,817 votes, while Pandey received 23,851 votes, according to the Election Commission.
